1Co 10:31 tells us “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Some people attempt to identify themselves as Christians by the way they talk, or dress and frequently by how much they pray or go to church. Though doing or not doing these make us appear religious, we are only true Christians when we do all things for the glory of God. To glorify God is to give honor, praise, and worship, to proclaim his greatness and to come into alignment with his plans and purposes. To glorify God is to give him praise and honor not only when things are going well, but we praise and honor Him in hard times. Glorifying God is using our talents and gifts to lift up the name of the Lord. Brothers and sisters, we glorify God when we desire to know Him better through prayer and studying His Word. God Said in Isaiah 43:7: “Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them.’”
Make a habit of praising God! Say thank you for his Divine attributes and focus on him and lift him up for his great mercy. Meditate in prayer thanking him for his miracles and gifts of love. Make a list of your blessings, count your blessings and pray over your blessings giving God Thanksgiving and praise! And don’t forget to thank the Lord for giving you the ability to be in relationship with him through Jesus Christ our gift of salvation! Show your appreciation as often as possible, for the goodness of God. Give Him Thanksgiving! Give Him praise!!!
Let’s get our praise on! We Love you Forever Dear Lord!
As you draw closer to the Lord, you will surely notice that you are becoming wiser, have more common sense, can discern of those things that are creepy and not at all good for you. For example, you begin to chose better friends, foods and entertainment. Overall, what’s happening is God is transforming you into a new creation. You are displaying the fact that you are surrendered to God. You begin to not like what you use to love, not engage in what you use to call fun stuff, and your desires are altogether different. You stop doing bad things automatically without even trying. That’s because God is working a mighty work in you. Old habits die and new and better things are alive inside of you.
The Spirit of the Lord has quickened you (made you spiritually, mentally and physically alive) and is getting you ready for the plans He has for you. Jeremiah 29:11 says…For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. The future God gives us cannot be compared to anything on this earth. Yearn for it, and be persistent in developing a solid relationship with the Lord. Worship Him, Praise Him, Adore Him for the mighty works He is doing in your life!
