Great Grace!

WE cannot control that sinful nature inside us…that’s why Romans 5:6 tells us “When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Grace is the sovereign (or superior) act of God by which we are drawn irresistibly to Him…Ephesians 1:5 says… “God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

Pleasure and Poverty

Would you say that you have the type of character that loves all kinds of pleasures and love to be in the midst of things that make your body, mind and soul feel good even if you know that those things are against the laws of God?

Do you have a guilty conscience if you go to wild parties, say profane words, smoke a joint, over eat, gossip, watch Jerry Springer or The Bad Girls Club?

Lately have you told anyone…? “Well, I am human and everyone needs to cut loose every now and then.”

Well if you answered yes to at least two of these questions, you just might be a pleasure seeker.

Worldly pleasure leads to poverty:

Proverbs 21:17 says that he that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oils shall not be rich.
