Lies… the devil driving your car

Often times when we encounter uncomfortable issues in life and we have to tell it like it is, it is not that easy. However, it is easier to tell it like we want it. When we do this we cover up things we do not want revealed, we try to hide the truth. It is truly amazing how quickly we forget that God knows the truth and nothing but the truth and He’s watching us tell that big fat lie.  No, not a half lie or half-truth, but just a lie …period. We so easily allow the devil to drive our car…drive us to do irrational things. Lying is not always intentional, it is human nature because humanity inherited the lying spirit of the devil that came through Adam and Eve. Lying is just one of the parts of the flesh that can only be crucified through accepting our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who gives us His Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth with  boldness and discretion. The Holy Spirit will not allow the devil to drive your car. He won’t let the devil take the wheel.  Remember, some things are better left unsaid. It is imperative that we guard our tongue and maybe less lies will come out. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 12: 36 saying: And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak.

Ephesians 4:25 reminds us to stop telling lies. Father God, According to Proverbs 6:16-19, lying is one of the seven things that the Lord hates. In the name of Jesus intervene in the lives of those who consistently and purposely lie. The spirit of lying is detrimental to the spiritual well-being for you said that all liars will have their part in the lake of fire. Let us remember that Satan is the father of lies.  Don’t let him drive your car! Don’t let him take control! Lord God we thank you for helping all of us in the issues, habits, shortcomings and for bringing us to our true identity in Jesus Christ!

Run… from Your Old Sinful Nature!

When we are born again, our spirit is born again, not our minds and body. Remember we are spirit beings that never die. The body dies and the spirit goes one of two places. A born again Christian has a new sinless spirit within that the old sinful nature hates. That nature hates that it resides right alongside the sinless spirit. The ultimate goal of the new spirit is to bring that old sinful nature into subjection and into alignment with what God says. However, the old sinful nature is not trying to hear all that nonsense.  Romans 8:5 tells us: “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.”

You see brothers and sisters; our flesh (worldly way of thinking that is not in alignment with spiritual the spiritual realm) is our true enemy. It does not matter where we go, the flesh tags along trying to persuade us to go against the spirit within. Indeed the war inside hurts so bad to the point that many of us cry out in agony for relief from all the pulling and tugging that is going on. Galatians 5:17 states: “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” We have a choice people to either agree with the Holy Spirit within or disagree. The consequence we receive is typically based on the choice we made.

Truly, I believe that it is better to run, resist, hold back and do like 1Peter 2:11 (NLT)…Peter states: Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls. Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) reminds us: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Our sinful nature is up to no good. Listen to what Paul says in Romans 7:18: “And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t.”

Some of us think that we can take fire in your bosom and not get burned. Well, if you recently vowed to be celibate, be careful not to find yourself in the midst of a situation where your flesh will decide what it wants to do. You see, if we trust our flesh to be strong we fall prey to the trickery of the enemy. Many of us have not yet realized that our nature is to sin. We have SINNED much longer and we are a lot more prone to do what the flesh WANT US TO DO. Brothers and sisters, for this reason, God came and offered us the perfect solution.

Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, The Holy Ghost moves in and manifests His endless love for us. He guides us and enables us to do things better than we ever did before, He gives us massive self control, wisdom, discretion, insight and so much more! Nevertheless, we have to listen. When we give in to the prompts of the Holy Spirit, we are transformed in to new creations, fashioned just the way God wants us. That old sinful nature is bought into subjection and literally crucified.

We begin to do everything for the sake of Christ because we love him, not because we think it is just what we are suppose to do. We become the salt that adds flavor to all situations and the light that overcomes darkness. We soar like eagles and become fearless as lions. I do not know about you, but I believe “SALVATION” is the best gift anyone could ever receive…Only believe in Gods way and not my way and I receive power to become more than I thought I could ever be! However, most of all, I get to see my Maker…GOD, when I leave this wretched flesh. Wow! This is truly awesome!

Are You Really “Only Human”?

2Corinthians 5:17 tells us: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This very scripture confirms that a born again Christian should never utter the words “I am only human” out of his or her mouth. When we make excuses for our behavior using these words, we fall into that lie Satan feeds into our minds. This lie causes us to compromise and therefore we are eventually defeated instead of defeating the foe.

Yes it is in the human nature to sin because until we become born again through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior from that old sinful nature inherited from Adam and Eve, we are “only human”. But to say the words “I am human” is outright denying that you are born again. Born again Christians can no longer blame failures on the human nature because 2 Corinthians 5:17 confirms: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Overall, when a person says ” I am only human” he or she is saying they are not born again, but only human. You see, either you are born again or not. If you have a sinful nature and a righteous nature, then is one going to heaven and the other one going to hell? It is true that only the spirit man is born again, that is who you are… That old nature is just a residue trying to take over by fighting against the new nature, but It can only take over when we give in to what it is enticing us to do.  You see, the ultimate goal God is achieving  is to bring our body and soul into agreement with our new spirit. We are transformed by the renewing of our mind and made whole. Nothing missing, nothing broken. If your goal is to see the face of your Maker, then  rejecting the new nature is a fatal mistake. God is a spirit, we cannot cross over to His spiritual realm with a carnal(worldly, human) mindset.

It is important to understand that the old sinful nature brought on by Adam and Eve keeps trying to control us. Satan keeps trying to speak to it and convince us that we are not saved, nor are we new in spirit. However, a born again Christian takes on that righteous sinless nature of Jesus Christ. That nature that is stronger than that old nature.  Christ died so we would be free from the bondage of that old human nature. However, you have a choice. Choose to resist the devil and he will leave you. As long as you continue to choose to obey the new born nature within, you WIN. Greater is he in you than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

God sees Jesus in us and not our old sinful nature that’s trying to hold on  (those born again)
Now of course if you do not believe in the Bible and that Christ died for your sins, then you are one described in John 10:26 where Jesus said: But you don’t believe me because you are not my sheep. Those who have not accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior are indeed not a new creation therefor they are only human. They still belong to the devil.  So…this information only applies to those who actually care where they will spend eternity. You choose who you will obey.
