Quarraling Button Pushers

Proverbs 20:3 NLT says avoiding a fight is a mark of honor, only fools insist on quarreling. Life brings many challenges that help build our patience. However difficult, quarreling, complaining and selfish people make it seem as though we’re fighting a battle that’s already lost. I find myself losing this battle or any battle, when I lose focus on who’s doing a new thing… quarreling is a recipe for ending up in wastelands. You see, Satan has willing instruments who throw us off our route. Once we swerve off course, we end up in the wastelands.   Who’s making a way out of these wastelands? Isaiah 43:19 says “See, I am doing a new thing.” What new thing did God do? Brothers and sisters, God gave us a savior, a comforter, a guide, and a get out of jail free ticket. God gave us freedom from bondage to sin and power to overcome the crafty tricks of the devil.

Born-again believers, saved by grace through Jesus Christ must utilize their God-given grace…their spiritual power and boldly engage in spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:12 explains, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Satan uses people to push our buttons. Satan hates Christ followers. He’s not playing games. The devil wants us to go down with Him. He’s recruiting many people through emotional turmoil caused by button pushers. Brothers and sisters until the coming of Christ we must continue to engage in spiritual warfare. So from this day on do not allow aggressive people who love to quarrel get you down. Pick up the sword… your Bible; read it, study it, meditate on it, and learn to fight back and be effective in spiritual warfare. The Word of God is powerful against satanic attacks. It is a probing instrument. Hebrews 4:12 NIV explains that “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”  The Word of God is a defense weapon. Ephesians 6:17 reminds us to take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  Jeremiah 5:14 KJV says, “Therefore this is what the Lord God Almighty says: “Because the people have spoken these words, I will make my words in your mouth a fire and these people the wood it consumes.” Again, in Jeremiah 23:29, God spoke to Jeremiah saying, “Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?

Get Spiritually Fit to Fight Back

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means shall hurt you. (Luke 10:19)

Now, I know that at some time in your lives, you have watched a movie and in the movie, a character equipped with a weapon was afraid to use it. I mean, they would have a gun or sword in hand and too afraid to use it. In addition, while watching…you were probably talking to the TV saying us it stupid!hurry!…or something like that.

Well, did you know that as a born again believer, you hold greater power than even a person holding a gun in his or her hands pointing at the adversary? Brothers and sisters, Luke 10:20 tell us that the spirits are subject to us (true believers that is) and that we should rejoice because our names are written in heaven.

We who are with Jesus really have the upper hand in all spiritual warfare against the enemy. Revelation 17:14 says: These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

If you truly want to see the face of God, it is necessary to take up your spiritual weapons and fight back. The word of God is our weapon of warfare. However, until we learn and speak it aloud, we will never see the manifestation of victory over our enemy. Truly, our war is not against another brother or sister.

We should not ever place a face with the altercation or issues we face. We are not fighting against flesh and blood…we are in spiritual warfare. Unless you get spiritually fit…you are doomed to lose. No matter how strong you may think you are in your mind and physical body…remember. If you are spiritually weak…You are being set up for the kill. Get in on this gift of salvation; give yourself away so God can use you. Remember we are salt and light to the world.

What’s Your Mind Set On

The mindset around the world is undoubtedly keeps coming back to Christians. Many of us are always keeping track of what’s taking place in the world instead of focusing on what’s occurring in their spirit person. World refers to the world system. It refers to the beliefs, way of thinking, opinions of existence and major fears that operate complete opposite to the will and the way of God.

The world recommends that your victory call for an individual to convert from the journey of godliness and to evade working on your relationship with God. Nevertheless, Jesus said a life devoid of God or the things of God are useless. In spite of how beneficial things in the world appear, they are really of absolutely no benefit. Matthew 8:36 states: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Rom 12:2 gives us the strategy by advising : And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.. We have to be prepared to fight and withdraw from the world’s methods by means of re-training our hearts and minds.

Our hearts and minds are reprogrammed and created for God. As soon as we change our thoughts, the Holy Scriptures teaches us how to operate in the spirit person. Philippians 2:5 which states: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus You see brothers and sisters; we must withstand the devil in order to gain victory over the world. Philippians 2:13 goes further to tell us: For God which worketh in you both to will and to do his good pleasure.
