According to Titus 2:12 we are to be training to renounce ungodliness and worldly passion, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age…
Hebrews 13:4 says: Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

Make a list of your blessings, count your blessings and pray over your blessings giving God Thanksgiving and praise! And don’t forget to thank the Lord for giving you the ability to be in relationship with him through Jesus Christ our gift of salvation! Show your appreciation as often as possible, for the goodness of God. Give Him Thanksgiving! Give Him praise!!!
Dear Lord, thank you for such a beautiful day and for all you are doing in the lives of our families and loved ones. Thank you for helping us to go this journey of life with the confidence that you will not leave nor forsake us. In the name of Jesus help us to rightly represent your Holy name by conducting ourselves respectfully and not allowing our emotions to get the best of us. Also Lord, for those who are abundantly blessed materialistically, please don’t let them become over-confident and therefore compromise your Godly principles for ungodly material gains. We thank you for self-control!
2nd Samuel 11 tells how David, a man after God’s heart grossly did evil before the eyes of God. His various sins started when he stayed behind instead of going to war with his men. Did overconfidence cause him to slack off from his duty? Maybe David was slacking from his responsibilities because God gave victory over all his enemies. Anyway, while chilling and taking a stroll across his enormous roof which overlooked his kingdom, David lost all senses when he saw the beautiful Bathsheba bathing. David wanted Bathsheba; he sent for her, he had sex with her, got her pregnant, tried to cover up the pregnancy by having her husband (Uriah) come home from the war and have sex with his wife, Bathsheba so Uriah (her husband) would think the child is his. When this plan failed, David sent Uriah back on the battlefield carrying his death warrant. David arranged for Uriah to go to the front line and die in the direct line of fire.
Brothers and sisters, this is an example of sowing evil. However, we must never forget the reaping season. When we go against the word of God, we demonstrate that we despise the word of God. The Cambridge dictionary defines the term despise as ” to feel a strong dislike for someone or something because you think that the person or thing is bad and has no value. The word of the Lord given by Nathan the prophet to David in 2nd Samuel 12:9 asked David: “Why did you despise the Word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes. Although David admitted his sins and repented of them, he could not escape the wrath of God. He could not escape reaping the evil he sowed. In 2nd Samuel 12:11 the Lord said, “Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Bad things began to happen to David. David’s life became chaotic and painful.
Listen, some of us may be experiencing times of great hardship. Although sometimes we are tested, there are times of reaping what we’ve sown. Let’s examine our lives. Have we despised the Word of God and disregarded his principles? Could it be some of us are in the reaping season because we despised and went against the Word of God to satisfy our lust and our desires for comfort and material things? It is sad that some of us are so high upon our own pedestals, that we believe our lies and continue the practice of sinning. Refusing to repent is a deadly eternal mistake. If you have sowed evil, though you cannot escape the reaping season, please confess and repent as David did. The mercy of God endures forever. There is still time to avoid the gates of Hell. Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand!
AMEN AND AMEN
Do you want to be blessed? Develop a servant’s heart. If Jesus stepped down from his glorious equality with God, and serve humans we ought to be willing to step down from SELF and serve Him & others.
Oh most gracious Father, this is the day that you have made and we rejoice in it. Thank you for life, provisions, strength, and guidance and for all your benefits of Salvation through Jesus Christ. Thank you for your mercy and grace in giving us an opportunity to dwell with you forever and never know pain and suffering again. Praise and Honor to You dear Lord!
Revelation 12 says: “Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”
In Mark 3:24, Jesus said “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.” Satan is not imaginary; he isn’t something people dreamed up just to try to explain the existence of evil. Satan is real, and the Bible makes it clear that he is a powerful (and evil) spiritual being who is absolutely opposed to God and His goodness.”
Devoted followers of Satan’s kingdom are the angels who fell during his rebellion, and the hearts of unregenerate men. The unregenerate men or women are those who reject God’s plan of Salvation through Jesus Christ. Satan’s domain or kingdom is the system that denies the Creator yet praises the things He created. Satan’s kingdom focuses upon hindering the plan of God and manipulating as many Souls as possible to Eternal separation from God.
John 1:12-13 explains, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

Warnings against Sin
Listen! The LORD’s arm is not too weak to save you,
nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.
It’s your sins that have cut you off from God.
Because of your sins, he has turned away
and will not listen anymore.
Your hands are the hands of murderers,
and your fingers are filthy with sin.
Your lips are full of lies,
and your mouth spews corruption.
No one cares about being fair and honest.
The people’s lawsuits are based on lies.
They conceive evil deeds
and then give birth to sin.
They hatch deadly snakes
and weave spiders’ webs.
Whoever falls into their webs will die,
and there’s danger even in getting near them.
Their webs can’t be made into clothing,
and nothing they do is productive.
All their activity is filled with sin,
and violence is their trademark.
Their feet run to do evil,
and they rush to commit murder.
They think only about sinning.
Misery and destruction always follow them.
They don’t know where to find peace
or what it means to be just and good.
They have mapped out crooked roads,
and no one who follows them knows a moment’s peace.
So there is no justice among us,
and we know nothing about right living.
We look for light but find only darkness.
We look for bright skies but walk in gloom.
We grope like the blind along a wall,
feeling our way like people without eyes.
Even at brightest noontime,
we stumble as though it were dark.
Among the living,
we are like the dead.
We growl like hungry bears;
we moan like mournful doves.
We look for justice, but it never comes.
We look for rescue, but it is far away from us.
For our sins are piled up before God
and testify against us.
Yes, we know what sinners we are.
We know we have rebelled and have denied the LORD.
We have turned our backs on our God.
We know how unfair and oppressive we have been,
carefully planning our deceitful lies.
Our courts oppose the righteous,
and justice is nowhere to be found.
Truth stumbles in the streets,
and honesty has been outlawed.
Yes, truth is gone,
and anyone who renounces evil is attacked.
The LORD looked and was displeased
to find there was no justice.
He was amazed to see that no one intervened
to help the oppressed.
So he himself stepped in to save them with his strong arm,
and his justice sustained him.
He put on righteousness as his body armor
and placed the helmet of salvation on his head.
He clothed himself with a robe of vengeance
and wrapped himself in a cloak of divine passion.
He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds.
His fury will fall on his foes.
He will pay them back even to the ends of the earth.
In the west, people will respect the name of the LORD;
in the east, they will glorify him.
For he will come like a raging flood tide
driven by the breath of the LORD.
“The Redeemer will come to Jerusalem
to buy back those in Israel
who have turned from their sins,”
says the LORD.
“And this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, the LORD, have spoken!
