Revelation is the act of God whereby he gives knowledge of Himself which man could not otherwise know. Therefore, there is a great difference between the revelation of God and the discovery of God. Discovery implies that man, by exploration or research, has found God, who was unknown or had hidden. Discovery further implies that God was inactive in the process and that man took the initiative in seeking after God. However, the opposite is true. God revealed himself because a man could not have found God by searching for him. Man is spiritually limited, and man would not have sought for God, because a holy God condemns and punishes man, who is a sinner.
Theology for Today

A resistant carnal mind resists contact with spiritual truth. The carnal mind resist studying the Bible. In fact the carnal mind is more interested in arguing religious customs about people, places and things which are of little importance in drawing closer to God. How are you living is the question. Some people get all bent out of shape if anyone speaks negative towards the Ten Commandments. It’s funny how these same people HAVE NOT SUCCEEDED AT OBEYING THEM. In fact, how many of us can even recite all Ten Commandments? Who do you know besides Jesus who’s fulfill all Ten Commandments? Ten Commandments are Holy, Good, Perfect. Notice how not one of these terms describes the human race.
So, how can we who are unholy, unclean and so not perfect obey Holy, Good and Perfect Commandments? We’re running around subjecting ourselves to useless works such as wearing certain type clothing, talking a certain way, showing up to church looking godly, reading (not studying) the Bible, and overall many of us are putting on a big show. Holy Spirit guides and teaches and therefore gives us discernment in matters of life.
What’s hard to understand is how come people keep putting limits on God and making God look so petty? I mean, seriously, do you think you’ll go to Hell because you eat certain foods. It’s amazing how some people really believe that the clothes they wear will actually turn God’s heart or cause Him to act and give them a that-a-boy (or girl) pat on the back.
The Good News is on the seventh day God rested from all his Works (Genesis 2:2) and invited us to enter into His finished works. (See Hebrews 4:11) We need only to believe what He did. Not what we are doing. We must come into agreement with God. How can two walk together unless they agree? (See Amos 3:3) Bad news is some of us still believe that, we played a HUGE role in God’s decision to save us by his Great Grace, Mercy and everlasting love for us!
Why would God, the Potter, need the help of humans, the clay? It is by grace we’re saved not of works should any of us boast. “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18). (Please study Ephesians 2:8-9 and the entire book of Hebrews)
Tough times can teach us to keep pressing forward or leave us at a standstill full of distress and confusion. As Christians, we must expect challenges which comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms. Nevertheless, it is imperative to stay watchful or spiritually awake at all times.
Often times we have to run from aggressive influences of those who are trying to steer us away from what the Bible says and get us to believe worldly teachings contrary to Biblical principles. In fact, 2 Timothy 2:23 says: But reject foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they breed quarrels. Foolish disputes do not promote peace. The devil uses foolish disputes to steal our joy.
Often times when Christians attempt to address an issue they are accused of judging others. Matthew 7 says “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Well, If we keep reading, down to verse 6, Jesus talks about not giving what is holy to dogs and not casting your pearls before swine? Well, right there Jesus made a righteous judgment.
The Holy Spirit gives us discernment and guidance so we can judge what’s right and wrong. Jesus was actually saying don’t try to judge someone’s minor issues especially when we have major issues. He was telling us to judge righteously. Jesus explained his meaning concerning judging others in John 7:24 (NLT) saying: Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly.”
The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 5:12-13 said “For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.” Furthermore, many of us Christians try to clean the fish before we catch the fish. This is not possible. So let us ask the Lord to help us to avoid foolish things in life and instead strive for love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
How many of you have ever took the time to meditate on answering the question “What is my purpose, what is my assignment here on earth according to God’s plans and purposes?” How many of you believe that God did not send us here to just strive to eat, drink and be merry from our wealth? Well, God’s Holy Spirit helps us answer these questions. Some of us take God’s indwelling Holy Spirit too lightly and others don’t even acknowledge that He even exists, then there are some who seem to be afraid to even speak on God’s Holy Spirit.
Brothers and sisters GOD’S Holy Spirit is the fire living in each believer. God wants to express Himself in our activities and attitudes. Trying to suppress God’s Holy Spirit is a bad idea. (See 1st Thessalonians 5:19) Brothers and sisters, oftentimes the sweet voice of God’s Holy Spirit is trying to keep us on track. Once we realize that God truly loves us, we begin to see things as He sees them because we trust Him. The stronger your relationship with God, the more clearly you can hear and understand that it is He who speaks to our hearts.
Let us pray that God fine tunes our spiritual ears to hear Him and focus our spiritual eyes so we can see what He sees. It is the most exciting experience to know when you actually heard God speak to your heart and when your insight is keener than you’ve ever known it to be. What is your true assignment here on this earth? Please study Isaiah 14:14 & 30:21; Jeremiah 33:3; John 10:27 and John 16:13; Proverbs 16:9; Ephesians 1:11.
2Corinthians 5:17 tells us: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
This very scripture confirms that a born again Christian should never utter the words “I am only human” out of his or her mouth. When we make excuses for our behavior using these words, we fall into that lie Satan feeds into our minds. This lie causes us to compromise and therefore we are eventually defeated instead of defeating the foe.
Yes it is in the human nature to sin because until we become born again through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior from that old sinful nature inherited from Adam and Eve, we are “only human”. But to say the words “I am human” is outright denying that you are born again. Born again Christians can no longer blame failures on the human nature because 2 Corinthians 5:17 confirms: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Overall, when a person says ” I am only human” he or she is saying they are not born again, but only human. You see, either you are born again or not. If you have a sinful nature and a righteous nature, then is one going to heaven and the other one going to hell? It is true that only the spirit man is born again, that is who you are… That old nature is just a residue trying to take over by fighting against the new nature, but It can only take over when we give in to what it is enticing us to do.
You see, the ultimate goal God is achieving is to bring our body and soul into agreement with our new spirit. We are transformed by the renewing of our mind and made whole. Nothing missing, nothing broken. If your goal is to see the face of your Maker, then rejecting the new nature is a fatal mistake. God is a spirit, we cannot cross over to His spiritual realm with a carnal(worldly, human) mindset.
It is important to understand that the old sinful nature brought on by Adam and Eve keeps trying to control us. Satan keeps trying to speak to it and convince us that we are not saved, nor are we new in spirit. However, a born again Christian takes on that righteous sinless nature of Jesus Christ. That nature that is stronger than that old nature. Christ died so we would be free from the bondage of that old human nature. However, you have a choice. Choose to resist the devil and he will leave you. As long as you continue to choose to obey the newborn nature within, you WIN. Greater is he in you than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
God sees Jesus in us and not our old sinful nature that’s trying to hold on (those born again)
Now of course if you do not believe in the Bible and that Christ died for your sins, then you are one described in John 10:26 where Jesus said: But you don’t believe me because you are not my sheep. Those who have not accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior are indeed not a new creation therefore they are only human. They still belong to the devil. So…this information only applies to those who actually care where they will spend eternity. You choose who you will obey.
Christians should always make time to pray and draw closer to God. We will never uncover what God has already supplied for us until we draw closer. If we cannot make time for God…We are far too busy.
We will never get to heaven until we are transformed into a new creation. Only God can do this. This body is not equipped to handle heaven. If we will not stay still and let him do His mighty works in us, we stay stained and marked as the devils property. The unsaved must ask Jesus into their life to clean them up and releases them from being a brainwashed slave to the accuser who is always sewing negative things into our minds.
Once the unsaved accepts Him, they are justified, just as if they never sinned yet constantly reminded by the Holy Ghost that we are much better than our old nature. God do not keep accusing us of our wrongs, He transforms our minds through the Word, the working of the Holy Spirit so we are able to do the right thing in his sight. We are free people! FREE from slavery. We don’t have to succumb to what the devil tells us to do. Resist the devil just like you would resist the enemy on the battle field. Stay alert and stay close to God so he cannot have his way with you.
Some people just love sin so much that they invite it in and relish the so-called good life only on this earth. They are not concerned about their eternity because they actually think that after death everything is all over. Whooping it up might last for a lifetime, but when it comes time to give out wages for what you did or did not do here on this earth, well, that is a completely different story. In this case, the wages are higher than one would probably care to accept. The wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life. Why do people reject eternal life? Because they don’t believe it exist.
After physical death, our real life begins with who we really are and we will either spend it in heaven or hell. We simply go back to being what we are without the human body suits we are in… spirit beings. However, your decision here on this earth determines your eternal destiny. Don’t get it twisted too bad where you can’t get untangled. Watch and pray that you do not enter into temptation..(Matthew 26:41)
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 (KJV)
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Healing will not manifest physically, mentally, or financially unless one actually believe it. A person must take hold of it and run with joy telling it to people believing Gods Word that it is already done! You see, that’s crazy to the human mind. We scare the unsaved when we are bold like that.
When under pressure, we often discover what we believe.A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. (Luke 6:45)
You can speak “I am healed by his stripes” However when the doctors delivers a bad report of your health… What comes forth out of your mouth at that moment is what you really believe.
There is an abundance of treasure waiting for us to take hold of us, why don’t we take them? (Mark 5:36)
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.(Luke 8:50)
But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Humans typically believe what they see, hear, taste, feel and smell. If none of these attributes are present, we tend to dismiss the idea as not real, ridiculous, stupid or bizarre or whatever.
However, most humans are not aware that they we are spirits and must learn how to operate in the spiritual realm in order to have a relationship and close bond with God. Read the first chapter on Genesis how God breathe life into us. It was his life…but when Adam and Eve switched out they forfeited all they had and unfortunately the same went for us until Jesus Came and Delivered those who truly believe thou they never saw Jesus with their eyes. Demonic oppression is the only thing stopping us from reaching our ultimate powers we have through Christ.
Applied pressure causes many to cave in, give up, quit, then crash and burn.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:36
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. Mark 13:33
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41
The labor that we find difficult to perform is letting go and God and allowing Gods finished work to manifest in us through relentless FAITH that He’s got an answer for all of our woes and whining and let downs. All we have to do is draw closer to the Lord so he can show us how to tap in to our resources.
We have healing, prosperity, no distress and not hunger because God has already provided us with the means to tap into the Holy treasures God have stored up for us. He wants us to rest in knowing that we must labor to learn how to say “I AMHEALED BY HIS STRIPES” .
If your doctor tells you that you have cancer and have an expectancy date to die. It takes labor to look straight at that doctor and say, I understand, but I am healed by his stripes. It takes labor to see your child go away and you finally let go by confirming that “God takes care of your children”, he will protect them. And it takes even more labor to say “God supplies all my needs according to his riches in Glory through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, when you are jobless and hungry. However, keep believing until that thing manifest before your eyes. In John 15:7 Jesus said: “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
Philippians 4:19 states:
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
People, many of us are trying to get God to move and do things He’s already done. It is now our move.
Be strong and trust in the fact that God is always there in the midst looking at you and wondering why you choose to go through things rather than calling upon Him so you learn how to access the secrets to total victory, spiritual, mental, and physical success!
In the Book_of_Proverbs” Proverbs10:22 it says: The blessings of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. In Mark 10:17 a rich man ran up to and kneeled to him asking him what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life. Well the rich man admitted to not committing adultery, killing, stealing or bearing false witness and not defrauding or dishonoring his father and mother. However, Jesus answered the rich man In Mark 10:21 and said:
One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. In Mark 10:22, the rich man went away grieved: for he had GREAT possessions. You see the issue brothers and sisters is not the riches, it is that the rich man deeply trusted in his riches. Many of use misinterpret these scriptures and believe that God wants us to be poor. This in untrue… he wants us to trust in him not riches.
Indeed the rich man trusted his money more than he trusted His God who blessed him with the money. The kingdom of God meant less to him than his money. This is the case with many of us. As long as we have money, we are in a safe haven. Look in Proverbs 18:11 where it says, that a rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit. Do not allow your wealth to cause you to miss everlasting riches…
When we were born into this world, we all had a tendency to sin. Psalms 51:5 tells us that we were shapened in iniquity in sin did our mother conceive. What this means is that we are decedents of Adam and Eve. We are natural born sinners. Put two toddlers in a room and give them one ball to play with and sit back and watch what happens. Eventually they will fight over the ball. Nobody had to teach those toddlers how to be selfish.
It is not until we receive Jesus Christ into our lives that we become a new creation. However delayed salvation makes it harder to separate from our old sinful habits we have nourished for years. For instance, some people have a tendency to lie, others have a tendency to steal, and people have a particular type of nature they may nurture over and over again. If you have a tendency to steal and nourish that tendency by continuing to steal, this tendency becomes a full-blown thing that you perform by not paying attention to your conscience. You have nurtured that tendency so that it is second nature to you. The Word of God has the power to change bad habits that are totally out of line with the will of God. The Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteous and sinful acts.
What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure. You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. What do you think the Scriptures mean when they say that the spirit God has placed within us is filled with envy? But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say,
“God opposes the proud
but favors the humble.”
So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
Chapter 1 verse 26 of the book of Genesis in the Bible tells us that God gave us dominion over all living creatures. Genesis 9:2 states that: All the animals of the earth, all the birds of the sky, all the small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the fish in the sea will look on you with fear and terror. I have placed them in your power.
The very moment Eve started listening to a serpent; this was proof that she did not understand the part about her and Adam having dominion over all the animals.
She took the word of the serpent as more valuable than that of God. Furthermore, Eve outright disobeyed because she thought that she was missing out on something. The enemy introduced fear of loss into Eve’s mind. Genesis 3:1 in the New Living Translation (NLT) tells us: The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the LORD God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”
It is plain to see that he was aiming to confuse and manipulate.
The serpent or the enemy of God tried the same trick on Jesus in Luke 4:3 where it states: And the devil said unto him, if thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. God had already told Jesus that He was His beloved Son, in whom He is well pleased. Jesus assured the enemy that He knew his identity and he did not have to do anything to prove it. Overall, the enemy tries to get us to act upon something.
Those who are spiritually weak are prime targets. They are the groper’s spoke of in Deuteronomy 28:29 where it states: You will grope around in broad daylight like a blind person groping in the darkness, but you will not find your way. You will be oppressed and robbed continually, and no one will come to save you. However, God did come to save us.
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
A Christian must know who he or she is in Christ. In Matthew 16:15 Jesus asked his disciples…But whom say ye that I am”? Then comes a most profound revelation contained in Matthew 16:16-19 stating: And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
God literally gave us supernatural abilities to loose the hands of the enemy and to bind him where he has no control. We have the power not to submit to sin and deception. Believers receive the keys to the kingdom of heaven and have power to change situations and the gates of hell shall not prevail over this power.
2 Corinthians 10:5 says we are now capable of …Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
God works in surrendered true believers. 2 Corinthians 13:5 tells us to:
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
It is God in you that is performing what you otherwise could not accomplish. Know your identity, you in Christ, your name is VICTORY!!!
