Difficult circumstances, chaos and frustrations can hit us at any given time. However, how we handle these things is what counts. Do we burst out in anger or rage? Do we become fearful? Brothers and sisters, our Lord and Savior consistently kept a perfect attitude.
Jesus prayed often and did not worry. Jesus’ goal was to please the “Father” at all cost. 1 Peter 2:23 says… He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. God will not allow chains to hold us back. He breaks every chain, every hindrance. For no weapon formed against us shall prosper!
You see, Jesus never got caught up in being offensive, then defensive, then surrendering to depression. Jesus was patient during times of persecution and suffering. Jesus was ridiculed, threatened, abused and subjected to hostile crowds of haters.
But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the LORD; their vindication will come from me. I, the LORD, have spoken! (Isaiah 54:17)
